Discharge Silencer Design

Discharge Silencer Design

(OP)
To All,

I am an applications engineer with an API619 rotary screw compressor packager.  Although we typically design and fabricate our own silencers in-house, we have a current project that has a wide range of operating conditions outside of our normal scope of practice.  As such, I am looking for a third party silencer manufacturer to help with the design and potentially fabricate for us a discharge silencer that will adequately attenuate the broad range of conditions.  Unfortunately, searching for silencer manufacturers online has not yielded any suitable information.  I'm asking for anyone to provide names and/or contact info for any reputable designers/manufacturers that may be of use to me.

Basic info for silencer:
Process Gas (Oil-Free Rotary Screw Compressor)
Disch. Press = 200PSIG
Disch. Temp = 350 deg. F
Flowrate = ~7MMSCFD
Medium to heavy weight hydrocarbon stream with H2S - NACE compliance req'd

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!!

RE: Discharge Silencer Design

You might try Universal Silencer out of Wisconsin or Stoddard Silencer in Illinois

Yep...we've had good luck with Universal.
