Structural intensity

(OP)
Hello,
is there anybody that is studying structural intensity on a plate?
Thank you very much!!!

RE: Structural intensity

never (ever) heard that term before ... care to elaborate ?

"stress intensity" is a different term ...

RE: Structural intensity

(OP)
Nono it is Structural intensity yhat is the power flow per unit cross-sectional area in elastic media and it is analogous to acoustic intensity in a fluid medium due to
structural vibration.
I have to compute internal forces and displacements using modal superposition.

RE: Structural intensity

Yup, 22 years ago. You might have more luck on the vibration forum, I can remember nothing about it. Also you might try a search on statistical energy  analysis.

I was using pairs of accelerometers, but can't remember the maths.

Cheers
