3D Connexion space pilot buttons

3D Connexion space pilot buttons

3D Connexion space pilot buttons

(OP)
I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 and NX 7.0
Unfortunatly I have found that the buttons on my space pilot no longer can be programed to execute functions in NX.
Tech support from 3D Connexion can not offer a solution at this time. Has anyone else found a work-around for this problem?

RE: 3D Connexion space pilot buttons

I have had the same problem since NX 6.0. The buttons will respond to system commands but not NX. New drivers and NX 7.0/7.5 did not solve this problem. The buttons work in Alibre and Solidworks on the same computer so I have to think it is unique to NX.

Chris,

It is good to know that I am not the only one who has had trouble with this issue.
I have logged a IR with 3D-Connexion.
Hopefully they will fix this issue soon.

RE: 3D Connexion space pilot buttons

I'm NOT having any problems (and I've tested this with NX 6.0, NX 7.0 and NX 7.5).

I'm running Windows 7 on a Dell M4400 laptop and using a 'SpacePilot Pro' (in the office).  The 3DConnexion software that I'm using is:

Release Version: 3.9.0

(Driver Version: 6.9.0)

Firmware Version: 4.10

Note that at home I use a 'SpaceNavigator' and on the road, a 'SpaceNavigator for Notebooks', all using the same driver software and I haven't had any problems with any of them (of course the SpaceNavigators have limited use of programmed buttons with only two, one of which I've programmed to bring up the 3DConnexion Control Panel and the other does a Display-Fit).

John,

Are you running on a 32 or 64 bit OS?

RE: 3D Connexion space pilot buttons

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit, but the NX versions are all 32-bit versions.
