Can't get past submitting and dont get any msg file.

(OP)
Hello.

I just started using ABAQUS/CAE. I'm doing a very simple simulation, but got some problems on the way. First time i tried to solve the analysis i got an error message. It didn't say what was wrong it only said to look in the message file if it exists. However the file did't exist so i wanted to restart the analysis hoping it would go better this time. When i submitted the job it started to work. But the problem was at this point that analysis didn't get past the sabmitting phase to the running phase. I have tried many differet things to ty get it work, I have deleted the jobs, changed their nams etc. but nothing works.
Why don't the analys get past the submitting phase?

The msg file mentions:
NOTE: THE RATE OF CONVERGENCE IS VERY SLOW. CONVERGENCE IS JUDGED UNLIKELY.

ERROR: TOO MANY ATTEMPTS MADE FOR THIS INCREMENT

This should not accur since this is a very simle problem I am analysing and everything is linear.
Thank you.

RE: Can't get past submitting and dont get any msg file.

I don't quite understand, as you are getting a message in the msg file, so it has got past the submitting part of the analysis. However, it does look for convergence of the forces so your problem may be due to the restraints you apply. Look for messages that refer to negative eigenvalues and/or make sure you haven't got NLGEOM switched on.
