Wall/Roof Assembly Weights

Wall/Roof Assembly Weights

Wall/Roof Assembly Weights

(OP)
Does anyone have a good website or reference for looking up wall and roof assembly weights?  For example, how much does a 2x4 wood stud wall assembly with 1/2 gypsum weigh?  Thank you.

RE: Wall/Roof Assembly Weights

The Trus-Joist design manual has a good table with most of the wood framed construction component weights listed.  Sum the component weights for total.

It usually comes out to 10 - 15 psf.

RE: Wall/Roof Assembly Weights

There are a number of tables in the Breyer Design of Wood Structures which list the components and their weight.  Also, much of that information can be found in the commentary to ASCE 7 (Chapter C3).
