DYNAMIC PROBLEM

(OP)
A cylindrical cask with 91.25 inches in diameter, is hanging 3' above a concrete slab.  Suddenly, the cask collided with the concrete slab.  The slab is 25" thick, with a diameter of 8' and the cask has a mass of 234 kips.  Given: f'c = 4000psi, grade 60 steel.  The slab is designed as one-way continous.
What is the kenetic energy absorb by both the cask and the concrete slab?
