Library Stackroom Loads in 1956

Library Stackroom Loads in 1956

(OP)
Does anyone know what the live loading would have been on a 1956 library floor in the Southeast USA?
The oldest code I have access to (mid 1980's)indicates 125 psf.  I am analizing this existing waffle slab for new compact shelving loads of 200 psf.  Thanks

RE: Library Stackroom Loads in 1956

1967 National Building Code lists stack rooms at 150 psf...reading rooms at 60 psf and corridors of libraries at 100 psf.

1947 AISC Steel manual - Library loads not listed.

ANSI A58.1-1955 (the standard that preceeded the ASCE 7 documents - lists library stack rooms at 150 psf and Reading rooms at 60 psf.
