Drafting Dimension Margins
Drafting Dimension Margins
(OP)
Is there a good way to set margins around the part outline for dimension spacing during general (not ordinate)dimension placement? I am thinking of something where the dimension could be dragged out from the part and would snap in place at certain pre-defined margins.
The ASME standard suggests no less than 10mm for the first dimensions and no less than 6mm out from that for subsequent sets. This is something that was rigorously enforced when I studied manual drafting and I'm having a hard time loosening up and just putting them where they look good.
I have access to NX2 - NX7.5 so if it is possible it would be great to know when it was added.
Thanks,
Jeff
