What if any spec cover IF steels? SAE or ASTM

RE: IF Steels, and Specifications

SAE J2329 covers low carbon sheet steels, with Grade 5 being IF, I believe.  You can obtain this spec from SAE at http://www.sae.org .  I will have to look further to see if there are any ASTM specs on IF steels.  In the meantime, you may try the Auto-Steel Partnership website (http://www.a-sp.org) under the publications section-- lots of good info available, maybe some on IF (I usually recommend it for HSLA data, forming, etc.).

RE: IF Steels, and Specifications

Although it does not mention IF steels specifically ASTM A 620 DQSK steel is usually supplied as an IF steel.
