Structural analysis reference

Structural analysis reference

Structural analysis reference

(OP)
Is anybody familiar with Structural Analysis A Unified Classical and Matrix Approach, 6th Ed. Gahli, Neville, Brown.  I have and have used the 2nd ed. (1978) for a number of years, to long to discuss, it's become a little ratty and thought I might 'retire' it before it disintegrated completely, sooo.., was looking at the 6th ed online and considering purchasing.  There is some new 'stuff' in it.  Comments?  Opinions?

RE: Structural analysis reference

I bought the 5th ed as a university student and used it a little when I was programming a frame analysis package. I say there would be a big step from the 2nd edition to the 6th edition regarding non-linear analysis and FE formulations.

Surely you can pick one up cheap from amazon.

RE: Structural analysis reference

I have the third edition and have seen the fifth.
Unless you really like the format and authors, there are better structural engineering books to have on your shelf.
I would recommend anything by Hibbeler.
