Aircraft: floor beams design and connection to frame

Aircraft: floor beams design and connection to frame

Aircraft: floor beams design and connection to frame

(OP)
I'm trying to "lay out" the floor support beams of an aircraft and their connection to the frame and am slightly at loss, never having done anything similar before.

Firstly, the only type of connection I know of are rivets, and most other ideas seem unlikely to work(welding, screws etc). Are there any other ways to make the connection?

Also, what should I be looking at, in terms of structure, in laying out the floor beams themselves? I'm not so much thinking of calculations, but of elements to vary, other than materials...

Would be grateful for any advice/help!
