SHORTING BRACELETS

SHORTING BRACELETS

SHORTING BRACELETS

(OP)
I am looking for a source for a shorting bracelet for an old Century Repulsion Start / Induction Run Motor, 1.5 HP, 870 rpm, P10B Frame. Any suggestions?

RE: SHORTING BRACELETS

Bone up on your machining skills!

It's not likely you will find anyone making replacement parts for those old motors. Century has been bought and sold maybe a half dozen times since that motor was made, new owners rarely bother with support for old products.

RE: SHORTING BRACELETS

I was able to find a piece of wire suitable for restringing the "jewelry" years ago. The last time I saw a Repulsion/induction motor was almost 40 years ago and it was old then. (Very old)
Good luck.

You might try and find a motor repair shop locally. It is a possibility they may have some old parts. It's worth a shot.
