What have you tried?  What problems are you having?  Have you checked the Help for Sweep?

I have tried to sketch a path on the surface of this but have not been able to on the non-flat ie compound curved surfaces.. once i have a path i think i can just sweep a cut along it but no luck so far.

RE: sweep cut along complex path

Try to use intersecting surfaces to your advantage when doing something like this.  Create a 2D sketch for your path then extrude a surface.  The intersection of your new surface and your complex surface should be the final path that you are looking for.
