Aluminum alloy 2017 rivets should be solution heat treated (annealed) at a temperature of 925-950 F.  Time depends on section size, which will be in the range of 20-60 minutes.  See Tables III and IV from MIL-H-6088H for specifics:

Thanks TVP, I found something pretty close to that, My only limitation is I don't have the ability to do the solution method... was looking for a straight up furnace method...

...

The "solution anneal" refers to driving the alloying elements back into solution with the parent metal.  It has nothing to do with salt baths or ovens or other methods of applying heat to the metal.
