Substation SCADA Help

(OP)
I work for a refinery putting a new substation building in.  This is the first substation in our refinery using SEL relays and is additionally piloting a SCADA system for future consideration.  The refinery uses GE-Fanuc PLC's exclusively, so we installed redundant RX7i PLC's in the building and ran two separate Modbus networks, one for monitoring and one for maintenance.  The monitoring network is run through SEL-2032, one for each bus.

The contractor working on the SCADA system is having issues with the plc timing  out while polling the 2032's.  There are about 500 points on each one.  The contractor typically uses A-B PLC's and uses ProSoft message managers for these applications, but there is not an equivalent product for the Fanuc PLC.  Has anyone come across this and been able get around it?

Thank you,

Jim
