RE: is there any Help available for catia v5 Programming

Do you want to customize CATIA with VBA or CAA? If VBA, then there some samples in CATIA doc and about VBA you can find it in microsoft doc.

cheers

I understand that CAA is Catia Application Architecture, but does it allow access to the source code? We do VBA automation extensively, but you can only access the functions for which they, (Dassault) have provided script.  I would really like to find a higher level interface with Catia (via C++, Perl, Python, etc.)

grazie

Hello,
you can do more with the standard V5 programming tool (VBA). A good example what you can do is availble at the www.catiatips.de in the DOWNLOAD area than click "show folders" and in the new window the folder "CATScripts". in the next few days I will make avalable more scripts also for part design.
Best regards
Helmut
