BS 968 Steel Specification

BS 968 Steel Specification

BS 968 Steel Specification

(OP)
I'm trying to work out the demo of the existing bridge built in 1963-64. I have the shop drawings for most of the structural steel. Some of the steel is ASTM A7, no problem. There is also a lot of what they call BSS 968. I'm guessing this is BS 968 an old British steel spec. The design documents refer to "Low Alloy" Steel with fy of 46ksi so I'm guessing it meets that, however there are a lot of difference from the design docs and the shop drawings so I'm trying to be cautious here. Does anyone know the properties of BS 968 steel? I can't locate the specification as it has been replaced. A verification of fy and fu for this steel is all I really need to know. We need to make sure we don't overstress any members while it is being dismantled in pretty large pieces.
Thanks in advance
Tom

Thanks Blackpot - That's exactly what I wanted to confirm.
