Adding holes to assemblies

Adding holes to assemblies

Adding holes to assemblies

(OP)
Hello,
I'm using Inventor Professional 11. I've built an assembly and I would like to add holes to several components at one  time. I can do this and they're shown on the assembly.
But when I open the individual components the holes aren't there.
Is there a way I can get the holes to show in the parts? It would speed things up considerably.
Kind regards
George

RE: Adding holes to assemblies

You would need to use Bolted Connection with the Content Center Components to populate the connection.  This will create holes in the part level as well as insert fasteners.

There are other ways to reference holes in that part level including adaptivity but that should be used with caution.

Thanks, I hadn't spotted it before.
Cheers
George
