I meshed the model, added the loads, restraints and material. Performed a "solve", created a report. I do not see a deformed mesh for displacement or a von-mises stress plot. How do i view them? NX6 Nastran

RE: Display a deformed mesh in NX Nastran

what are you using for your pre- and post-processor ?  FeMap ?  Patran ??

Hi RB.

Thanks for looking. Model was drawn in NX and meshed in NX/Nastran which is integrated into the NX6 application. Does that help?

RE: Display a deformed mesh in NX Nastran

oh ... i thought NX Nastran was "just" the FE code ... we use FeMap as the pre- post-processor.  how exactly did you create the model ?

Dear Jeffco,
Simply you got error when solving the model, this is the reason why you are not allowed to postprocess results. Revise your *.F06 nx nastran output file, there you will see the reason of the error, search in the text for the word FATAL around the end of the file.
Best regards,
Blas.
