Indented Parts List

Indented Parts List

Indented Parts List

(OP)
Hi all, I am trying to create an indented Parts List on a drawing, to show components of sub-assemblies. I am having no luck playing with the LEVELS. Does anyone know of a way I can achieve this?

RE: Indented Parts List

The NX Parts List function does NOT support an 'indented' presentation of the components of a multi-level assembly.

RE: Indented Parts List

The best that you can do is in the cells that you want indented: highlight them (one cell or as many as you need to change) > style > cells (tab) > in "prefix" add a few spaces > OK
It may be nice to have an indented parts list for some - but I assume that it is not included in any drafting standard so that is why it is not available.

RE: Indented Parts List

Remember, the function is called a 'Parts List', NOT a 'Bill of Material'.  I have never seen an 'indented' Parts List, but I seen lots of 'indented' BOM's.

A Parts List is just that, a list of Parts, while a Bill of Material implies more than just a simple 'list'.

RE: Indented Parts List

Are you sure "indented" is your requirement? If you are working military the proper term is "indentured" and has very specific requirements and outputs.
