Hard Anodized Aluminium

Hard Anodized Aluminium

(OP)
I'm trying to qualify a piece of equipment for use in a packaging area of a tablet manufacturing company. One on the product contact parts in the machine is made of Hard Anodized Aluminium. I have a material cert to certify that the part is hard anodizing but I need some verification that Hard Anodized Aluminium is expectable to one of the regulating bodies (e.g FDA). Does anyone know where I could get such a document, Thanks For your help?

RE: Hard Anodized Aluminium

not specifically, but I know you can easily test aluminum to confirm it is anodized- the optimcal emittance or absorbtivity of anodized aluminum is about 0.9, while normal non-anodized is about 0.1  .

RE: Hard Anodized Aluminium

This might not be the right forum for your question as it is related to certain materials and FDA. The Biomaterial Forum is not very active but the Material Engineering Forums might give you better answers.
