Number of iterations exceeded

(OP)
Hi ,

I am running a Static non linear analysis with an assembly of two parts connected with Frictional contact.
2 load steps are applied :
 - 1. F= 1200 N
 - 2. F= 0 N
The 2nd load step is "zero" to evaluate plastic strain after load retrieval.
The problem is that in S.O. I get the following message:
" Predicted number of iterations for convergence= 40 exceeds max of 26"
Ok, I inserted the command NEQIT,80 to increase the number of equilibrium iterations but still useless. Could it be because the retrieval of the load is applied suddenly to zero?
Any suggestions to this?
Thanks in advance

P.S. I am using Workbench 12.1
