On a specification sheet for powder coat material I have the value >5 for the mandrel banding test (ISO 1519). On a slightly newer version of the sheet the same test value is now ≤10 Please could someone explain the interpretation of the figures relative to the test that is carried out on the coating. Thanks.

Wouldn't it make sense to define the maximum like before where:
>5 means: as long as the mandrel diameter is larger than 5mm you'll get no coating cracking...
please clarify...
