What did they do to knurling in 2010?

What did they do to knurling in 2010?

What did they do to knurling in 2010?

(OP)
SO far, I really dislike changes in 2010 from 2007. Knurling used to be so simple. What happened to textures?Tell me if there is a better way....The only way I can figure out how to knurl is to add it by going to APPERANCES/METAL/STEEL and then the only option is STAINLESS KNURL. Of course, realview has to be ON to be able to see it, and it does not match the part at all. Is there a better way?  thanks

RE: What did they do to knurling in 2010?

Show the Slow Appearances dialog by CTRL+F1 ing on the Display Pane and click the appearance color ball there are two subfolders Scenes (Backgrounds surroundings) and Appearances (Materials) I believe under Steel there is a knurl option. If you hold the Alt key while dragging the Knurl to the Part Body Feature you want to color, after you're prompted to select what you want to apply to from the context icon bar you can edit the Appearancethat you just applied.

If you still have 2007 installed see if you can get the p2pmat or whatever the file extension is and paste it into your 2010 design library location.
