wiring diagram
(OP)
I'm drawing a wiring diagram to show how the mains get distributed inside our enclosure (terminal strips, fuse blocks, ground lugs, switches, etc.). I've seen lots of variations on drawings like this, so what are the standards? What is your favorite technique? Does anybody have an example drawing that they would like to share?
Thanks,

RE: wiring diagram
I think that it's helpful if the schematic follows the physical arrangement to the extent that it's reasonable to do so.
RE: wiring diagram
The objects are connected by two-line representations of each wire, filled with color exactly like the real wires, including two-color wires. AutoCAD's 'multiline' objects make this slightly less of a pain than drawing seven parallel polylines per wire.
Making a drawing like that look 'clean' takes some extra time, but then much of the wiring can be done by mechanics who are not electricians.
