create a pin joint?

create a pin joint?

create a pin joint?

(OP)
Hi I'm relatively new at the program and have looked through the manuals but can't seem to figure this one out. I'm having trouble pinning separate objects together. I created the objects using the spline tool and I know I have to "tie" them together under the constraints menu.  However, when choosing the "master" and "slave" the spline objects only have one node to choose, and it is not in the location where I want the joint to be.  The default is that it just selects the entire surface, which is also not what I'd like.  Any suggestions?

Practice on some simple stuff and tutorials. Take a course, ask the ABAQUS helpline.

Try placing a reference point where you want your tpin to be and using a tie constraint.
