Import DWG file in my specification

Import DWG file in my specification

Import DWG file in my specification

(OP)
Hi,
with the specification open, if I import this dwg attached, NX7 import into the modeling specification, but I would like to import into my drafting.
If it's possible, can be texts and line manipulated ?

Thank you...

RE: Import DWG file in my specification

About the best that I managed was to Import it into 'Modeling' and then open a Drawing and add a base view which will have the .dwg data, but it will be in it's own view.  If you wish to work on the actual data (text and lines) you will need to first 'Expand' the view, but it will work.

Hi John,
but I want this dwg as if lines and texts was created in the sheet.
Isn't it possible ?

Regards..

Not that I can see how it would work.

RE: Import DWG file in my specification

It is a very crude example. When you open the DWG file in NX it creates curves in the modelling environment. You have to save that file, then you can go into drafting and create a sheet of suitable size to fit the curves and text that you just imported. Having done that import the file to itself while in that new sheet and all the curves now live on the face of the drawing with no views. You can go back and delete the curves from modelling because they're no longer used for anything.

It isn't normally how anyone would use a CAD system like NX but for imported data it may suffice.

Best Regards
