Pile platform design on slopes

Pile platform design on slopes

Pile platform design on slopes

(OP)
I need to design a pile mat / working platform on a sloping site.  BRE470 is only intended for maximum slopes of up to 1 in 10.  Does anyone have any guidance for steeper slopes?  Still waiting for the dwgs before I'll know exactly what gradient I'm looking at.

My gut feeling is that it actually comes down to the stability of the rig (what is the steepest slope it can safely transverse), rather than performance of the platform, which is outside the scope of platform design, in my view.

Any thoughts?
