(OP)
Hello
I have a problem in abaqus standard.Im trying to do a bulge test, so i have a sheet metal and a mould. The model is axysimetric, elemet type cax4r.
I put a uniform pressure (0.01GPA) on the sheet to deform. The problem is, if i increase this pressure, for exemple at 0.011GPa the program is stoping at time 0.96, if i increase at 0.013GPA is stoping at 0.77.The program its stop earlier as the pressure is higher. The error is the same...to many attempts made for this increment.
Other problem is that in 3D model the maximum pressure that is working is 0.004 GPa. IT is the same material...it shouldnt work with the same pressure?(0.01GPa)
Thank you

RE: too many attepts made for this increment

Many factors can affect the increments needed.  Check out the deformed state when the error occurs their may be some poorly shaped elements.  Have you changed from the default time increment values?  Is there contact?  A picture goes a long way in helping diagnose a problem.  I hope this helps.
