Do medium voltage bus ducts and power cables have inherently designed continuous overload capabilities? Is there a way to estimate it?

If yes, may I ask for any links or references which I may use to justify it. I would appreciate technical pointers as well.

RE: MV Bus Duct and Cable Overload Capability

I would ask the mfrs. It is all about limiting the temperature rise with its limits. Technically you do lose some life of insulation every time you exceed the rated temperature, even for a short duration.
