COPY SKETCHES NX3

COPY SKETCHES NX3

COPY SKETCHES NX3

Friends

I need to draw three similar sketches, but I don´t want to draw one by one.

Is possible copy one sketch in other new sketch so if I change the father sketch others will change (height widht etc)?

Thanks for your help

RE: COPY SKETCHES NX3

Yes, you can copy the sketch and when you paste it make sure you select the "LINK EXPRESSIONS TO ORIGINAL" option.

RE: COPY SKETCHES NX3

also make sure you are aware of the directions of both the x or y direction, and the surface normal, because that will affect how the sketch is oriented

For copy a sketch I make the next steps:

edit / transform / [select sketch in modeling application] / translate / delta / [values] / copy...

but it doesn´t copy anything, this work only with solids.

Can you have a better way to copy a sketch in "modeling application" to other datum plane?

RE: COPY SKETCHES NX3

I don't remember much about NX3, but in NX6,
Click on the sketch in the model tree, then "copy" (right mouse button), and then simply use the "paste" command (under "edit") and then follow the dialog instructions.
It will probably take a few tries to get it right.

Awesome! Your last comment was correct to NX3, I only need practice in my model.

Thanks a lot for your help
