Design Pressure and Check Pressure

(OP)
Could anyone know and help me on this?

ASME-U stamped Furnace Design:
Design pressure/temperature is 50 psig/650F,SA516 Gr65,  how to use COMPRESS to check the pressure at 100 psig @ 90% yield for explosion protection?

RE: Design Pressure and Check Pressure

Sunrice, I don't know anything about Compress, but one of two approaches can be used with most software.

1)Enter allowables directly during input
2)Create a "new" material in the database with the needed allowables

If doing very much work, option 2 has obvious benefits.

Mike
