Aligning 2D rectangular shapes in Visio

Aligning 2D rectangular shapes in Visio

(OP)
We are having problems aligning 2d rectangular shapes in a horizontal fashion on a drawing as we drag them from the stencil to the drawing page.  We are wanting the shapes to consistently snap and align at their lower right or left hand corners.  However, it seems that regardless of snap and glue settings the shapes do not consistently align properly as you bring a new one on to the page and locate it close to one of the bottom corners.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.
