Wave linked curve wont update
Wave linked curve wont update
(OP)
Hi guys
I have an assembly made up from a bunch of components. One component is basically just a sketch which I use to control the other components in the assembly. The other components have some cuves wave linked from the sketch component. Originally when I edit the sketch component(change the angle of a line) the model geometry in the other components would update.
The link is not broken but its stopped working!
When I look at the wave inforation for the linked curve it says status:Out of Date (Position Dpendent)
Any advice on how i re establish the associativity?
Thanks
Munners

RE: Wave linked curve wont update
First go to...
Tools -> Update ->
...and see if either 'Delay Interpart' or 'Delayed after Edit' is toggled ON.
Next, check your Load Options and make sure that 'Use Partial Loading' is toggle OFF and 'Load Interpart Data' is toggled ON.
And if none of that helps, it is possible that you have a license for the WAVE Module? If so, go to...
Assemblies -> WAVE -> Associativity Manager...
...and check to see if 'Delay Interpart Updates' is toggled ON, or if anything shows up in the 'Out of Date Frozen Parts' panel in this dialog.
If nothing is found after checking all of this and the behavior has not changed, then we will need to see at least simple example where this behavior is manifesting itself.

RE: Wave linked curve wont update
I'm using NX6 (sorry - have to remember to mention that in future)
I checked all the toggles as suggested and there was nothing to indicate any delay.
I then went Tools-> Update-> Update For External Change and this updated everything. I don't know why it started doing this but at least the problem is resolved for the moment and I can get the job finished.
I appreciate the help
