MV Transformer Distribution
MV Transformer Distribution
(OP)
A MV 20kV live is feeding an AUX 20/0.4kV LV transformer (from a turbine power generation plant) to energize a local control building.
From a local MV switchgear panel, the line ends up to the Local Authority distribution network (5000km) through a step up transformer 20/150kV.
In case that the turbine generators stop producing power and stop energizing the local control building, can we feed the line backwards, using the local authority network and energize the local control building?
Therefore the question is, the 20/150kV transformer at the end of the line can work as 150/20kV?
And then the 20\0.4kV transformer will be energized.

Whether or not it should be done is an entirely different question, for which there is no where near enough information available in this thread.
