need command to get displacement

(OP)
I am modeling a pin supported beam in ANSYS. I want to get the displacement of node 4 in UY direction according to time varying force.  I want to know how to write the command to get that one. Can anyone give me a help?

RE: need command to get displacement

Look in the help files, these tell you all you need to know...

RE: need command to get displacement

you can first using GUI's Timehistory Postproc draw the displacement-force diagram and after that for obtaining the commands pertaining your action goto file>"write db log" type a file name and then save it.remember to check only the essential commands option at the bottom of the save window.after creating an lgw file, open it and check the latest commands in it.those are the commands that you need.

RE: need command to get displacement

You can use *get.  For somethings (like displacements) there are also "inline" get functions.
