I would like to know about the function of brine water at LPG flare pit?

What kind of material(metal) can be used for protection shield behind the flare pit?

Thanks

RE: Brine pit and Flare Pit

Nothing, other than a way to dissipate energy when flaring, like they use sea water under the ehgines of the suttle or other rockets.

Protection shield?I assume a way to reflect radiant heat?  Anything that withstand the radiant heat.  Steel, concrete, a wall of water.

RE: Brine pit and Flare Pit

I don't remeber what we used to coat our lines and brine pump impellars.  If I stubble across it, I'll post.  Just look up pump internal coatings.
