ZYTEL 80/33 does it have a shelf life?
(OP)
I purchased a plastics manufacturer and we had excess supply of Zytel 33% glass material that is 10 years old virgin in boxes. Is the material still good???
When was the last time you drove down the highway without seeing a commercial truck hauling goods?

RE: ZYTEL 80/33 does it have a shelf life?
It will have absorbed some water from the atmosphere as I doubt it has been stored in a pack with extremely high barrier to moisture transmission.
If it is wet it will need to be dryed. This will be fairly difficult as the water will be well soaked into the granules.
If it is dried under vacuum, it can be done perfectly without damage, however very few moulders have vacuum dryers.
If done in air, it should be in a dehumidifier, but the time and temperature required will cause some oxidation.
This oxidation may cause some yellowing and a minor loss of properties.
