2010 Solidworks explorer - rename problems

2010 Solidworks explorer - rename problems

2010 Solidworks explorer - rename problems

(OP)
I have some part files and assemblies that i'm trying to remame that are located in the same folder. These files were converted from a previous version of solidworks up to 2010 files. When i use the rename feature from solidworks explorer and hit OK to save the change a error window pops up with this message "An invalid argument was encountered". At which point i need to hit OK on the error message to clear it and then hit cancel on the rename window to close it. Now in the tree of files the part that i was trying to rename will still show as the original name but if i refresh the screen the part will change to what i was trying to rename it. Also when this happens the links to any other assembly is broken and i need to remap the file to the proper assembly. Has anyone else seen this problem.
