Updating Drawing Views after saving

Updating Drawing Views after saving

Updating Drawing Views after saving

(OP)
Hello all,
I have a 2 page drawing that I am working on and everytime I am done saving the drawing all the views need to be updated (they have the red outlined box and red crosshatch lines).  I then have to do a QTRL-Q to update them.  The updating takes about 30sec everytime I do it.  Anyone know why this keeps happening or how I can prevent it?

Thanks,
BB

RE: Updating Drawing Views after saving

The solid model - that is attached to that drawing - Is it used anywhere else?  If SolidWorks thinks that the model is different or 'might' be different - SolidWorks will want you to update the drawing to make sure the drawing accurately reflects the model.

The assy is checked out to only me and even if I have only the drawing open and do a "Save" as soon as it is done saving all the views immediately go red.  Then I do a CTRL-Q wait 30 seconds and they are all good again.  Do a "Save" and they go red again all without even looking at the solid model.

Annoying to say the least.  probably has something to do with PDM Enterprise as it is the root of all that is evil.....

RE: Updating Drawing Views after saving

I'm not sure I have your solution, but I've been forced to learn that even though it's a 'red outlined box,' the dimensions are all good, I shouldn't worry about it.
