Is it possible to automate DXF creation?

Is it possible to automate DXF creation?

Is it possible to automate DXF creation?

(OP)
Hello guys and gals

We use an lots of DXF files of flat patterns for the laser cutting of steel plate. At the momenet we create the flat pattern within the modelling side of drafting (Master Model approach) and the flat pattern is autmatically created on layer 131 as per our company standards.

The engineer then has to export the DXF file to a folder before manually creating a translation dataset in Teamcentre and uploading the dxf file.

What i would like to know is if there would be a method we could use to automate the DXF creation either as a single customised button or ideally fully automate it as part of the Teamcenter release work flow so the DXF is created and stored in a translations dataset. Basically in the same way as you can use file > export > drawings to teamcenter as a way of creating CGM's in datasets.

Many thanks in advance.

Best regards
