BACKWORD COMPATIBILITY

BACKWORD COMPATIBILITY

(OP)

Is there any backward compability for solidworks 2010 to solidworks 2008? As far as I know there is none but I heard some roomers that there is solution for converting solidworks 2010 file to solidworks 2008 or 2009.

Does anybody have an idea?

RE: BACKWORD COMPATIBILITY

The rumors are completely and utterly unfounded.  SolidWorks Corp has been talking about version capability for a decade, but they haven't found a way to do it yet.

RE: BACKWORD COMPATIBILITY

Very simple,

Open SW 2008
Create a New Part file
Re-Create all of the sketches/features/etc. the same as your 2010 version.
Save

(You can copy/paste the sketches from the 2010 file if it helps)

Other than re-creating it from scratch, no.
