Thickener Scraper Structural Design

Thickener Scraper Structural Design

(OP)
Hi.

I am designing a steel thickener of 60m diameter. I designed the rake arms (2 long and 2 short arms), considering pressures on the rakes that equal the driving torque.

I need to design the scraper and i am not sure on what torque should be considered to design it.

I will appreciate your help.

Thank you.

RE: Thickener Scraper Structural Design

I assume there would be a mechanical engineer involved, try asking for his design/opinion.

An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made in a very narrow field
