Hello aer73,

You can copy library tools as .prt template or

the .dat document form NX6 to NX7.

Can you specify, what you want please?

Thanks.

RE: library tools

Hi andre,

You can create an independent template from, too_database.dat.

A single .prt file with all tools you need and use it as a

template, not linked with the other database.

Thanks.

If you have not added or changed any classifications or parameters, then you can use the same tool_database.dat. Occasionally, we require that the tool database files be converted (Tools --> Convert Tool Database), but there were no format changes between 6 and 7.

As a general practice for ALL of the CAM resource files, I recomment you merge (or at least compare) your changes in to the newest files, because we add new tools and make corrections to the existing tools. If you just copy your old files, you will miss the enhancements in the new release.
