You can copy library tools as .prt template or
the .dat document form NX6 to NX7.
Can you specify, what you want please?

You can create an independent template from, too_database.dat.
A single .prt file with all tools you need and use it as a
template, not linked with the other database.

create a new file and create all the tools you use in a folder and save your
then when you are creating a new machining you there to file> import> part> Select the Import path objects and selects the template with all the tools
created the file. prt then you go on view navigator tool in operation and the tools will be there

first create the file prt with the tools you use
then create a new file go to file> import> part> select the option import cam objects set the point constructor 0,0,0, and go to the tool view the tools will be there as you created the file. prt

If you have not added or changed any classifications or parameters, then you can use the same tool_database.dat. Occasionally, we require that the tool database files be converted (Tools --> Convert Tool Database), but there were no format changes between 6 and 7.
As a general practice for ALL of the CAM resource files, I recomment you merge (or at least compare) your changes in to the newest files, because we add new tools and make corrections to the existing tools. If you just copy your old files, you will miss the enhancements in the new release.
