Baumuller drive troubleshooting

(OP)
I am having a problem with a Baumuller BUM 63T drive (Type: BUM63TA-210/235-54-E-O-05) used to drive the refill motor on an injection moulding machine. I do not have detailed drive schematics to assist me in troubleshooting. There are three thyristor modules SEMIKRON SEMIPACK 2 SKK 162/16E which are blowing. I believe these control the firing of the diode modules for the PWM circuit but not sure. The three modules were replaced and the machine ran for about 8 hours before the thyristors blew again. Any advice.

Correction: I believe the three thyristor modules may rectifying to give the DC bus.

RE: Baumuller drive troubleshooting

It seems that you use double diode module for AC rectifier. Check DC bus with your application - maybe you need shunt regulator due to strong regeneration.
