Hello

could you please provide comments on if C.S ASTM A-106 Gr-B be used for 20%HCL??? we are using same material for fresh/spent H2S04 as per bechtel piping specs recommendation. I found through bechtel piping specs that for HCL, Glass reinforced FRP Epoxy resin and CPVC are recommended. Though these are also recommended for H2SO4 as well. can you comments for all these materials for HCL service.

20% HCL will corrode carbon steel quite rapidly; A-106 should not be considered.
