can anyone tell me, can i install ugnx6 to VISTA.because i tried to do that.but i got licence error?

RE: UGNX6

You have to be logged on as the computer adminsitrator to do the install on Vista.
Are you installing on 32 or 64 bit Vista?
Is the VISTA machine also your license server?

Guys!can anyone explain to me step by step how I am gonna install UGNX6 to vista 32 bit without getting any licence error.because I am new about using or installing UGNX.and i need this program.please help me!!

RE: UGNX6

There are several different possible ways that licensing currently works so the even if we were inclined to explain it we wouldn't know which was the correct one to describe in a specific case.

Secondly there are a few people out there unfortunately using illegal software, and as customers who have a reasonable investment in our systems we would be disinclined to help with their installation problems. Anyone who wouldn't contact their local support office about this seems to strike the wrong note in this regard.

but this is forum site.and then it is easy way to say that people need to go local support office.what is the point people register here to get some help then rather than going to support office.I couldnt get your point.if u know how a problem is sorted out, just i am saying can you help me?if you dont know, maybe someone else is gonna try to help.I think there no need to complain.

RE: UGNX6

i guess if your license is on your own machine (= no need to connect with a license server via VPN), you need to browse to your license file (around step 7 : licensing). I guess it is in the installation folder. C:\program files\ugs\nx 6.0\

if your license is on a server, your need to enter the servername. somthing like portnumber@nameserver (as the admin of the server).
when installation is finished. You first need to connect to that server via VPN (look it up). You will probably need a password/account or something from your work.
then you can start your program without any problem as long you are connected to the licenseserver.

RE: UGNX6

Where did you get your copy of NX6 to install?
Like Hudson said, if you have a legal copy purchased from Siemens or a reseller, they are your first resort for help. Open forums are great for certain questions, but we don't like being taken advantage of by people using illegal copies.

There are 2 parts to a NX install.
1) Install the Flexnet license management software
2) Install the NX software

These are explained in the Installation guide that is on the disk with the programs.
