Cant create more than 1 exploded vew per Configuration

Cant create more than 1 exploded vew per Configuration

Cant create more than 1 exploded vew per Configuration

(OP)
I am quite sure. But want to hear if its right.

I have an assembly and want to create 2 exploded views. I think its not possible to create more than 1 exploded view per configuration.

I think I need to create a Derived cfg to have the 2nd exploded view.

Any other possible ways?

Thanks
BT

RE: Cant create more than 1 exploded vew per Configuration

Make copy of assy01. explode assy02 the way you want. make drawing on second drawing space. Drag to 1st drawing, that way exploded assy01 and assy02 can be on same drawing.

ArtL,

Good work around. SW will allow this work around solution. But my documentation control dept might not, Because, we will need to check-in to vault,  2 assembly files for the same product.

Will try to check if they permit. Thanks.

I was pretty sure they added the ability to have multiple explode views for a single config sometime around 2007.  What version are you using?

BTW I would WAY prefer using a derived config to create a second explode than creating an entire new assy. IMHO.
