(OP)
I have a new sony vaio VPC-F11PFX laptop but the graphics card isn't quite enough for realview graphics(SW2010). Can anyone recommend a compatible graphics card? I did a search on the forum but it looks like most of the responses where from 2007 re: laptop graphics.

RE: Solidworks 2010 laptop graphics card

I think you are stuck with whatever graphics card is built into the Vaio. Unless the specs specifically list a card slot you are SOL.

RE: Solidworks 2010 laptop graphics card

Apparently that model uses a NVIDIA GeForce 310M card. Providing that's not an integrated card, if you can find out what type of slot that card uses, you should be able find an equivalent Quadro FX or ATI FireGL card.
