Am I imagining it?

Am I imagining it?

When SolidWorks is starting up the splash screen says 'SolidWorks Standard 2009'. I have had various SolidWorks issues just of late and I thought it used to say 'SolidWorks Premium 2009'

My Licence is for Premium and it seems to be all there.

If you are using Premium, what does yours say?

RE: Am I imagining it?

Mine says Premium.
At my last company it showed Premium, but it wasn't. Don't care, it worked.

RE: Am I imagining it?

I know Solidworks says Premium if it is installed first, and registered later. If you register with a Standard license it will still say Premium but you just won't have those add-ins available for you.

It being the other way around is a little weird though, but if everything is ok, I wouldn't worry to much.

RE: Am I imagining it?

It's just a splash screen mine flip-flops between Standard and Premium much like a politician. I have Premium so I just ignore it when it says Standard.

If you upgraded from standard to premium you do need to release the license then re-activate it to get the Premium License add-inns.

Thanks guys,

I was just confused when something I saw regularly suddenly changed. For no reason. Still, it all seems to be working so I'll just leave it alone!

RE: Am I imagining it?

Mine says Standard, though I've got Professional (or whatever it's called now).  The VAR said I'm licensed for Professional, so as long as my add-ins work, it's safe to ignore the wrong splash screen nomenclature.

I installed 2010 yesterday and now I'm back to a 'Premium' splash screen. I will sleep better now......thumbsup2
